Building Local Capacity
Conservation cannot be imported; it must be home-grown. This partnership aims to equip the next generation of Egyptian marine biologists with the cutting-edge tools used by Red Sea X. The program will focus on three key pillars:
- Advanced Survey Techniques: Training in Structure-from-Motion (SfM) photogrammetry and 3D modeling.
- Data Science: Analyzing large ecological datasets using Python and R.
- Field Operations: Safe deployment of ROVs and acoustic sensors.
The Scholarship Fund
As part of this alliance, Red Sea X is establishing the "Red Sea Guardians Scholarship," covering full tuition and field expenses for five outstanding students annually. We believe that financial barriers should never prevent a brilliant mind from contributing to ocean science.

The first cohort will begin their studies in January 2026, with field rotations on our research vessel scheduled for the summer season.
